WELCOME TO JOIN OUR TEAM!
Welcome to the homepage of Professor Qian Zhang’s group (Z-Lab). We are a dynamic research team composed of professors, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students and staff members. Our research is focused on the field of synthetic methodology mostly mediated by transition metals, aimed to address key unmet challenges in comtemporary organic synthesis, with an emphasis on asymmetric catalysis. Current research topics include: 1) to develop novel synthetic methodologies focusing on the new strategy for C-N bond formation and the discovery of new amination reagents; 2) strain release promoted and inspired new reactions and cyclopropane synthesis; 3) base-metal-catalyzed cross coupling reactions of electrophiles with unsaturated hydrocarbons instead of the traditionally used organometallic reagents. We warmly welcome prospective students interested in synthetic organic chemistry, asymmetric catalysis and organometallic chemistry to join our research team.
